Really loved the family owned feel of this place. The servers were super friendly and attentive. Big portions and great flavours. Will go back again!

We did take out recently to try this restaurant for the first time. We ordered the Chicken Souvlaki dinner and large Greek Salad with Chicken Souvlaki skewers. The ingredients tasted fresh and overall, we really enjoyed the flavorful meals. My only reason for not giving a 5-star is because whoever packaged our food placed the accompanying bread rolls on top of the food containers in the plastic bags used to carry the food. While some may not mind, we did and a first we've seen of food not properly packaged. I'd still recommend the restaurant. Enjoy!

The roast lamb at Greek Tycoon Restaurant in Whitby is as good as it gets! Served with roasted potatoes, rice, and Greek Salad. It is certainly ample, but so good that you keep eating until the plate is empty! The Saganaki starter tempts the taste buds with salty cheese doused in flaming brandy and extinguished with squeezed fresh lemon. A must have starter!The friendly staff and fast pace/vibrant atmosphere makes this place an excellent spot for a business lunch/dinner or stepping out with friends.No wonder this is the top rated restaurant in local food guides! Highly recommended.

An amazing dining experience! The service was first class and the food was delicious. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection, the saganaki was sensational and the salad was one of the best I've ever had. The staff is friendly and Tom, the manager, makes everyone feel like family. The place is warm and cozy. One of the best restaurants in Durham!

Always consistently amazing. Great staff, great cooks, and a great owner. The food is so delicious, chicken solvaki, gyros are always good, the lamb is really good. You will not be disappointed, give it a try.

Found this place by accident. Ends up being the best greek Ive ever had. Small little unassuming place on the outside but just go in and give it a try. Inside its nicely decorated and has quite the atmosphere its nicer than just a casual eat. Prices are very reasonable. Staff are amazing, food is top notch. They obviously do catering as as much food goes out the door as to the tables. Only downside is they are busy. Book a reservation before hand. Other thing is limited parking. We parked across the street when the plaza was closed without issue.

Spent Saturday evening at the Greek Tycoon. What a great place. Very cozy atmosphere, wonderful staff and the best Greek food we've had in a long time. The flavours were amazing and the servings so big I didn't see anyone leave without a take out container. Will definitely be back..

The. Chicken kabobs were fantastic so tender they melt in your mouth ... The music however was to load we found it very hard to hear each other talking .... But definitely will do take out.... Thank you for a excellent Valentine's day dinner.

I had an amazing experience here. It felt like I was in Greece as the restaurant had white and blue theme with artifacts from Greece. The food was very delicious and the customer service was excellent. The owner was nice enough to serve us and crack jokes to make us all laugh. If you want to feel like you're having lunch or dinner in Greece, you must visit this place for sure. I am highly impressed.

I ate here for the first time on December 30th and it was easily the best Greek food I’ve ever had in my life! The owner/manager Tommy was so accommodating and welcoming. He regularly came over and checked on us. I would give this place a 10 star review if I could. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to everyone’s friends and family-totally worth the drive no matter where you’re coming from! Thank you so much for having, we’ll be back soon!

Excellent restaurant for take out or eat in. Staff are very professional and your table is free to gab away. The food is very fresh and reasonably priced.

Amazing Greek food, probably one of the best in Durham Region. Their chicken souvlaki and their lemon potatoes are very good. Cooked just right and loaded with flavour. Everytime I have come here with my family we are never disappointed. The price isn't that cheap but it's definitely enough food to make you satisfied and the quality of the food makes it worth it. When I crave Greek food this is definitely the first place that comes to mind when I'm in this area.

Very enjoyable restaurant to spend time and relax while enjoying their amazingly well prepared, delicious dishes! The servings are so large you will have to take the food home with you! The chef flamed the most delicious cheese I every ate in my entire life! I got the chef to flame me two lots of cheese and it was so delicious I did not care about how much it cost! The music was relaxing and like being on a cruise ship while being in the cruise ship bar! The manager treats his customers with deep respect! He knows his food is great and he loves being told the food is above and beyond delicious! There is not much parking and the restaurant is always busy! I visit this restaurant at least once a week! I have taken my friends to this restaurant and now they eat there regularly!

We went here for my Birthday supper - it was our first visit. Outstanding dinner, service was top notch and they gave me a gorgeous little arrangement of flowers to take home plus a warm piece of baklava at supper for my special day. They really made our night out feel extra special. We usually go to the Danforth for Greek food and it is so nice having tried a local place that we will surely visit again. Thanks for making our evening out so wonderful and for the lovely flowers. :) ** Tip - this place is extremely busy and this is a good sign. Reservations are highly recommended.

Delicious food. After Chef Tommy's closed in Oshawa we thought we'd never find another Greek place. We were so wrong. This place is amazing. The food, decor, everything. And their hummus is to die for.

The decor is well done, the menu is extensive and the service is friendly. Greek food served was high quality and very tasty. The selection of beer and drinks included numerous imports from the Greek area. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, give this restaurant a try !

This place is one of the hidden gems in Whitby, perfect location for a romantic dinner or a business lunch or even dinner. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. There's also beautiful Greek music in the background that just complements to the already great experience.The dishes are well priced and the servings are very generous, food is delicious and fresh. I recommended this place to all my friends and everyone has really enjoyed it.

Greeted and seated right away (had reservation so no waiting). Friendly staff and great service. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived but quickly filled. Staff were constantly in motion and managed to be attentive and upbeat the entire time. Food was served hot and delicious. Ordered soup, Greek fries and salad, vegetarian pasta, lamb, and gyro.

We love this place. Dine in or take out or skip the dishes, it's our fave greek food. Delicious food. Great service. Fantastic.

Great experience. Food was fabulous. Wonderful staff. When I got home I realized I'd lost a pendant that's very important to me. I returned to the restaurant and several of the staff helped me look around the table where I'd been seated, but no luck. One of the staff got a flashlight, searched the route back to my car and helped me search my car. They took my number and called me back later that night to let me know they'd found it. I'll definitely be going back.

Here's a place to out on your list. Drive by this strip mall on Brock St. and you can easily miss it. Go at dinner time and you may have difficulty finding a parking spot. Wonderful atmosphere, attentive service, and excellent food. Good idea is to make reservations. See you there!

Greek Tycoon is fantastic. We ordered takeout from this place for a birthday. The Chicken Souvlaki, pork Souvlaki and the Salmon was fantastic. The customer service we received even during this pandemic was fantastic. The portions are big and filling. Surely better than Jimmy the Greek and better value for your money. Will surely be ordering from here in the future.

We only got take away but the food was delicious and plentiful and our order was well-packaged for us. It was good value for the money. The service was prompt and the people pleasant.I would definitely go back to enjoy the dine-in experience.

Food was delicious!. Calamari was fresh, chicken was moist and tender and portions were fair. Price is reasonable and I appreciated the easy pick up routine during the Pandemic.

Decided to go out for dinner. Craving Greek. Only heard great things about Greek Tycoon. We felt like we were on vacation. From the complementary ouzo and Baklava. First time there. Excellent food, friendly staff will definitely return and encourage others to visit. We didn't have a reservation but would highly recommend one, very busy.

Fantastic food and fantastic service. One of my favorite restaurants in Durham region. It isn't a big restaurant, but it has the charm and coziness of an authentic Greek family business. If you're going on the weekend, make sure you make a reservation ahead of time because it's always full (and that only speaks for the food and service). Their moussaka is amazing, the calamari are perfectly cooked and if you love lamb, this is the place for you!
